I am pleased  to report that today Undersecretary Dickinson, NTEU National
President, Colleen Kelley, NTEU 245 President Howard Friedman and I signed
the 245 Basic Contract. This contract was negotiated through Interest Based
Bargaining between NTEU 245 and the Trademark Office. We are pleased
with the terms of the contract and we look forward to continuing our strong
working relationship as we begin implementation.

My sincere thanks to all members of the negotiating teams!  The management
team included:  Meryl Hershkowitz, Managing Attorney for Law Office 113,
Jerry Price, Managing Attorney for Law Office 101, Michael Levy, Senior
Attorney for Law Office 110, Tomas Vlcek, Managing Attorney for Law Office
115, Leslie Bishop, Senior Attorney for Law Office 109, Tom Lamone,
Managing Attorney for Law Office 107, and Portia Robinson, Labor Relations
Specialist for the Office of Human Resources.
